Third-person view in Modern Warfare 2?

Consider Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 to represent one of the pillars of the FPS genre? Many would, but despite this role rumour this morning has it that the new action title actually includes a third-person mode, as well.
News site Kombo have apparently grabbed an early PS3 version of the game - and during multiplayer exploration the site claims to have stumbled across a third-person viewpoint.
The site includes a snap of the previously unheard of third-person perspective, modes titled 'cage match 3rd person' and '3rd person team deathmatch' mooted in the report.
Initial community reaction to this news appears to suggest this news could be legitimate, although the screenshot has been translated from French.
Modern Warfare 2 is out in two weeks time.
