Activision and confirm this morning that the version of Call of Duty: 2 will come equipped with Steamworks when it launches next month.

Steamworks is of course Software's suite of PC software, encompassing auto-updating, anti-cheating tech, achievements, and even the 'cloud' storage system.

Steam is of course Valve's platform for selling and delivering new PC games, and while the service will be used to sell this gigantic new online, this is a major coup for Valve - and should see Steam reaching new players thanks to the vast popularity of Modern Warfare 2.

Apparently, 50 Steam achievements will be offered by the game - which will be released on November 10th. More soon.
