Pachter predicts pricey Xbox Live
Costs will rise in the future - says exec
Speaking online this week with Bonus Round, Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter has said that Xbox Live won't be as cheap in the future.
Indeed, the industry soothsayer says that it will one day cost from "50 to a 100 bucks", probably within the next year or two.
We'll let Michael explains: "You can't hook a guy into Xbox Live Gold if he's playing on a PC. That's the other problem - you really want to hook every gamer who has a 360, you want them to buy all their games on 360, play everything multiplayer, pay you 50 bucks a year so that, in a couple years, it's a 100 bucks a year. And thats going up, we all know that it's a profit deal," Pachter explains.
We'll have more Xbox Live tom-foolery soon.
