Lost Planet flick not linked to games
New story from Hayter planned
Capcom have said this morning that the plot of the new upcoming Lost Planet film is not related to the plot of either the first or unreleased second games in the series.
"[There] probably [won't be] so much of a reference to this particular title [Lost Planet 2]. However, the only thing I know is those people working on the project that they love the world of Lost Planet," Capcom producer Jun Takeuchi reveals to G4.
"So, we know that theyre going to utilize that world, but as far as the story line goes, the movie is completely different from the game."
The script of the new movie is being written by Solid Snake actor David Hayter of all things, with Keiji Inafune aiding in a producer role.
