Cross game chat set for PS3
Naughty Dog expose firmware feature
Naughty Dog have inadvertently revealed that cross game chat functionality is on the way to the PS3, as promised, and will be added via the next firmware update for the console.
Speaking on the official PlayStation message boards, one of the developers of Uncharted 2 revealed that the fan-requested feature was en route.
"I think they wanted people to have fun and enjoy the show since all dead players can talk to each other no matter what team you are on. But I will suggest it anyway. Not to mention that the next PS3 firmware update is going to allow cross game chat. So if players use that instead of in game communication then they would also be able to communicate enemies[sic] positions," 'ReklissAbandon' told players.
We'll have more on the future of the PS3's firmware soon.
