UK developers have been clamouring for tax breaks for some time now, organisations like urging the government to follow in the footsteps of other nations and help out their game makers with a few concessions.

With this in mind, creators are threatening to quit Dundee, Scotland, a relocate to Ireland - the Republic already offering generous tax breaks to firms relocating across the water.

Five year 'tax holidays' are up for grabs in the Irish Republic and studio boss Colin Macdonald says his firm are seriously considering the move.

"If the package on offer in Ireland was attractive we'd have to give it serious consideration," Macdonald reveals.

"Dundee is a great place to be based, one of the main hubs for computer games in Britain, but at the end of the day we've got to look after our bottom line."
