Final Fantasy XIII sales will be epic, predicts Square
Lay-offs also said to be afoot
Speaking with Reuters, Square Enix chief Yoichi Wada has said that Final Fantasy XIII is expected to sell in excess of six million copies worldwide.
The latest instalment in the hugely popular franchise, Wada-san believes the PS3 (and in some places Xbox 360) title can go one stage further than Dragon Quest IX (which has already sold nearly four million copies).
A release in Japan this December is planned, with Western debuts expected next year.
In related news, rumours also surface that Square Enix are on the brink of laying off 2-300 workers, the firm in the processing of reorganising after the purchase of Eidos Interactive in the UK. Thanks Kotaku.
