According to Gamasutra, the creator is more than a bit taken with the new technology, the designer stating "I wanted to share my surprise to everybody... but I had to restrain myself."

He believes Natal could change the way we do things, even in everyday life beyond gaming, although there is a risk that more traditional gamers will be unnerved by the lack of a physical controller.

Considering the technology, Kojima says he would like to make "a completely innovative game that nobody has thought of in the past but I have core users who are my fans, so I do not want to leave them behind."
