The reviews may be good, if not perfect, and while players bemoan the length of ODST's singleplayer campaign, they clearly aren't turning off from the franchise in droves. Quite the opposite, in fact.

According to word in today from developer Bungie, Halo 3: ODST has logged just shy of a million players in just one day.

The developer's website notes 958,137 players on a single day, these fans having amassed over 5.7 million games between them already. That's in one day. Incredible.
