Netflix on other consoles in the future
New platforms due after 360 deal ends
While the on-demand Netflix movies service may be exclusive to the Xbox 360's Live platform (in North America) for the time-being, the boss of the media firm says that Netflix will eventually make its way to other consoles.
Speaking to Reuters, CEO Reed Hastings has said Netflix can be offered in innumerable places, the boss hinting that a myriad of new platforms will be supported just as soon as the exclusivity period with Microsoft has expired.
"Eventually we want to be on all the game consoles, all the Blu-ray players, all the Internet TVs. So we are working in parallel with all of those efforts. Currently our Xbox deal is exclusive and we haven't characterized it more than that," Reed teased.
Wii and PS3 services in-bound the iPhone too? Why ever not...
