Wii price to drop later this month?
Leaked Toys R Us ad reveals cut?
Michael Pachter speaks and mountains move. After denying that they plan on cutting the price of the Wii console to boost flagging sales stateside, rumour today surfaces claiming that a reduction may arrive sooner rather than later.
With the PS3 and Xbox 360 having been slashed a sixth month of falling sales was expected for Nintendo, who may need to look at the pricing of their now less competitive console.
What is said to be a Toys R Us ad has duly been spied on Kotaku, the new ad seeing the price of the system purportedly fall to 199 USD later this month. Currently, the Wii costs 249 USD in the United States.
The week of September 27th is mooted for this long-rumoured and arguably much needed price drop.
