PS3 leads in Japanese hardware stakes
Console racks up epic weekly total
The latest hardware numbers are in from the land of the rising sun, and the PS3 is once again enjoying something of Slim/price-cut lead renaissance - sales topping 150,000 units for the week ending September 6th.
The PS3 leads, with sales topping 151,000, followed by the DSi a distant second with over 60,000 units sold.
Then there's the PSP, way down with just over 22,000, the Wii console a whisker behind on over 21,000 units sold.
Then there's the DS Lite with over 8,000 units sold, the Xbox 360 limping along with nearly 7,000 consoles sold - the PS2 last with just over 3,000.
It seems Japan has certainly embraced the PS3's new pricing, and Sony will be hoping this momentum can be maintained with Christmas fast approaching.
