Sony Computer Entertainment America drop by today to confirm that since the arrival of the cut price 120Gb PlayStation 3 console on September 1st have leapt some 300 percent.

PS3 revenue is up some 140 percent following the pre-Christmas move, versus the week building up to the price cut to 299 USD.

Sony are running a brand new 'It only does everything' ad campaign stateside at present - and it is expected that will further boost sales as the festive season draws near.

This follows a similar campaign which informs us that the 'Games are only the start', keen to play up the console's role at the heart of the living room.
