Square Enix are titillating us again, this time the latest issue of Japanese gaming weekly Famitsu carrying a two-page advertisement for something called Nier Replicant. Well spotted 1UP.com.

A full announcement is expected next week, perhaps via the magazine once again, meanwhile a spot of chatter hints at what this title could be all about, the tagline "Beyond revenge lies crazed desperation" offered.

Nier is actually the name of a Cavia creation, set for release in 2010 for and 360. The game was announced in as Nier Gestalt we're told, but apparently want the game to sell in the West too, and have duly delayed the Japanese debut.

We admit we're not entirely sure what it all means, but we'll bring you more as we get it.
