[Update] Blizzard opens up BlizzCon 2013 with an official unveiling of Heroes Of The Storm

Beta sign-ups live today at BlizzCon

[Update] The Beta sign-ups are now active over on the Heroes Of The Storm website.

Heroes Of The Storm is the opening salvo of this year's BlizzCon in Anaheim, California.

Finally Blizzard is releasing their own MOBA. After the genre was born with Dota which was a mod of Warcraft 3 Blizzard has carefully crafted Heroes Of The Storm around the lore and canon surrounding Diablo, Warcraft and StarCraft to build the ultimate MOBA. Not only did they have one of their trademark cinematics to kick off the presentation but there was also a lengthy video showing some rather epic gameplay footage of the alpha build of the game. Players will be able to play as their favourite heroes and villains on Blizzards own specially designed battlegrounds that will add new dimensions to the MOBA genre with additional objectives that will add new tactical options to the team that achieves them.

In another piece of great news the beta sign-ups launch today for BlizzCon attendees offering fans to participate in helping make Heroes Of The Storm a great experience when it finally launches. When the sign-ups go live online we'll link you up.
