Microsoft claim lead over PS3 in Europe
Lewis questions Sony's numbers
Chatting with UK industry magazine MCV, Microsoft regional big wig Chris Lewis has said that the Xbox 360 is leading the PS3 across Europe - with one-million more consoles sold.
While official figures put the PS3 on 10 million, ahead of the 360's 9 million, Lewis has an explanation which sees Microsoft stealing the lead.
"We're confident we are actually around a million units ahead. We count installed base differently to them," the executive explained.
"We count the number of units in the hands of consumers. We are committed to continuing that momentum - not only in places like the UK, France and Germany. Continued growth in all parts of Europe is integral to winning overall."
So, the 360 is leading. Apparently.
