Telltale plan new games in new genres
No more Mr Nice Telltale?
Having cut their teeth on funny, downloadable adventure games like Sam & Max, Telltale Games have told UK blog VG247 that they are on the brink of announcing a new series, in a new genre.
News "around October" is to be expected according to big boss Dan Connors, who says the firm's next offering may not be as comedic as we've come to expect from the game maker.
"I think there'll be some combination of things. I think we'll be sticking with some of the franchises we've worked with, and we'll be announcing some new franchises, probably in some new genres as well, not just comedy."
Thrilling dramas like Lost and The Sopranos have hooked in audiences, Connors notes, and along with titles like Heavy Rain the big cheese says Telltale are interesting in entering this area.
