Rival MGS teams 'not friends' - Kojima
Budgets cause split at Konami
Veteran Konami game maker Hideo Kojima has admitted that his respective teams working on Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker and Metal Gear Solid: Rising are not the best of friends.
Apparently, the Peace Walker team are frustrated that rival Rising team have better hardware to work with, utilising a much bigger budget. Kojima tells GamePro that he hasn't encountered this problem before - MGS titles previously worked on individually by one big team.
"That's the one reason why they are not good friends. If you could imagine the PSP team looking at the Rising team, they have all the money and specs. It's interesting for me to see the team members act in this way," Kojima-san told the website.
"This was never before because it was always just one small team. Now we are much bigger."
More on these two new projects as we get it.
