The Wii's Internet channel is now being offered for free by Nintendo, and this improved deal now covers all regions, we're pleased to report. The channel gives access to a special version of the Opera browser designed for the Wii. The browser used to cost 500 Points, which is about 3.50 GBP.

If you've already forked-out the points to gain access to the internet on the Wii, are set to deliver compensation in the shape of a free NES title - downloadable via the Virtual Console.

The free game deal will be delivered in late October, we're reliably informed. Happy downloading.
