Microsoft could be considering charging players for access to the 1 vs. 100 quiz show, which is currently available for free to Live Gold subscribers.

The idea was mooted in a survey question posed on the popular online game show, which boasts real world prizes.

"If 1 vs. 100 were not available as part of your Gold Membership account, how likely would you be to purchase 1 vs. 100 for 15 USD per season (13 weeks)?"

It is unclear whether this poser is real or not - given that it comes from the unrelated MyThoughtCounts.com website, but there is no doubt that this might make sense in some ways - as eyes ways to monetize the quiz.

Still, treat this as idle gossip until you hear otherwise.

Thanks Joystiq.
