Rocksteady not working on new Hitman
Livingstone denies rumours
Chatting online over the weekend, Eidos (or Square Enix Europe, if you prefer) lifetime boss Ian Livingstone has revealed that Batman developers Rocksteady are not working on Hitman 5.
Rumour last week had suggested that the Arkham Asylum firm could be crafting the fifth title in the series after impressing on their current project, but Livingstone assures this is not the case.
"This is the first I've heard about it. Hitman always has been and always will be IO Interactive's baby, which it still continues to be so," the veteran chief assured.
"Rocksteady are not involved with the development of Hitman 5."
A motion-capture actor, who said he was involved in the next Hitman game, had originally said he worked with Rocksteady on the project, but perhaps this was simply a mistake.
