Over 100,000 want LAN play in SCII

New petition draws the crowds

A new petition has been grabbing the headlines in recent days, well over 100,000 players having signed up demanding LAN play be added to StarCraft II.

With work still progressing at Blizzard on the Battle.net online multiplayer service, the new RTS title - originally due this winter - was pushed back to 2010.

Thousands of fans would now like to see this time used for adding full LAN multiplayer support, Blizzard having admitted back in June that the feature would be cut in favour of focussing on other areas of the title.

If you'd like to see the option of LAN play back in the mix, you can sign the petition now online.
