Speaking in a new interview, 2 developer Ralph Fulton has said that while the technology behind the motion-sensing is impressive, it still won't be replacing the humble wheel for driving games anytime soon.

"I certainly don't ever see it replacing the wheel or the controller as the principle controller method," he told Videogamer.

"That's not to say that I don't think you could do some really cool things, particularly with Natal, which can function as additional control over and above the controller in games."

First unveiled at E3, Natal dispenses with wands and remotes in favour of using the human body alone as the method of interaction. Billed as a new platform, extending the 360, a release in late 2010 is on the cards.
