Speaking after unveiled impressive financial results, boss-man has told investors that he would like to see higher game prices. Which isn't really a surprise, if you think about it.

Some senior figures have already been predicting higher game prices, after Activision opted to up the launch price of 2 in the UK. We could now see titles hitting 70 GBP in the years to come (that's about 110 USD).

When asked about pricing, Activision's Mike Griffith told business-types: "And then on the second question, Tony, on the pricing, we've had for all of our launch titles in the back half of this year, some of which contain peripherals, as you point out, very strong retailer acceptance and support for all parts of our plan, including our merchandising plans, our marketing programs, and our price points."

CEO Kotick chimed in: "And Tony, you know if it was left to me, I would raise the prices even further."

With costs on the up it now seems inevitable that some publishers will start charging more. We're just not sure how much more, yet.
