According to the boffins over at Digital Foundry, those presently granted special access to test the latest Live dashboard update are finding that their game installations are little more... efficient.

According to reports, the update can squeeze installations down to much more reasonable sizes, perhaps as part of Microsoft's efforts to free-up space on Xbox 360's equipped with the smaller, 20Gb hard-disks.

King of Fighters XII falls from a 3.4Gb installation to 703Mb, falls from 5Gb to 3.7Gb and Raiden Fighters Aces plummets to 484Mb from 3.4Gb.

We'll try and find out more on this for you.
