It has already been rumoured more times than something that's been rumoured an awful lot, VG247 today spying a listing for the long-speculated Slim on the Amazon website.

The listing on Amazon.de covers a "PlayStation 3 Konsole slim', no official release date, pictures or details are offered - but if this system proves to be a mirage we'll eat our hats.

Rumour has it that the PS3 Slim, a new SKU that could be ushered in alongside new pricing, could be revealed at GamesCom in Cologne - Europe's biggest gaming bash, which kicks off in about three weeks from now.
