Dark Void joins the long list of winter casualties now pushed back into the first-quarter of 2010, publisher announcing that the title has officially slipped.

The game was originally due out on September 22nd, the same day as Halo: ODST, Capcom seemingly taking note of their successes earlier this year with 5 and IV, moving back the debut "in order to get the game out of the crowded fall game season," according to community director Chris Kramer.

"The move will be great for the game and for gamers," the community representative told Joystiq. "Less in the market (curse you, Halo!), more time for polish."

While this sort of makes sense, quarter-one is rapidly beginning to look as busy as itself. Still, we like Christmas, and Christmas Pudding never goes out of date.
