Amazon sees games sales slowing
Blames sector for flagging share price
Evidence continues to emerge suggesting the games industry might not be quite as recession proof as originally hoped, Amazon.com blaming poor Q2 results on a slowdown in videogame-related business.
Of course, the release schedule has been fairly barren, which can't help, but there is apparently more afoot than merely a slight lull.
Profits and sales were up still overall, but the retailer's share price has dropped, 'media' sales apparently falling very 'flat' in the USA.
We'll bring you more on Amazon's struggles, meanwhile, the release schedule looks likely to pick up once summer is done and dusted, and this should see gaming back on the up.
