A new animated series is on the way, called Halo Legends, also letting slip that the new series will be delivered via a Halo-dedicated area of Live called 'Halo Waypoint'.

Apparently, this 'destination' for Halo fans is due to launch in the autumn, official word revealing that the new Live zone will "inform fans of the latest Halo news and activities, and grant access to content ranging from podcasts, trailers and screenshots, to exclusive video footage you won't find anywhere else."

According to CVG, the new service will include a career system, allowing players to track their in-game and out-game Halo performances.

Halo Legends was revealed at this week's Comic Con bash currently going down in San Diego. Appleseed boss Shinji Aramaki is behind the new anime.

In related Halo news, we hear that Microsoft's are taking charge of all related activities within Microsoft - with ex-Bungie exec Frank O'Connor heading up matters.
