Ubisoft today take another bold step into the illusive market, the firm launching their own Gaming Portal, which presently boasts one game on it. The mainstream-bating 'game', if it can be so-named, is called TickTock, and it allows you to test your knowledge of your friends.

Linking in with Facebook overall, the game challenges you to identify pals from their status updates, and it also encourages you to invite other friends to play. All this takes place using 'bombs', which add a competitive element to the proceedings.

The new portal is called UbiFriends, and it sounds as if the publisher will be embracing all manner of social gaming, chief Laurent Detoc promising that TickTock is just the first of several releases planned.

We'll bring you more on UbiFriends as we get it.
