Codemasters set release for Ashes Cricket 2009
Just in time for the 4th test
Just as England look to be hauling themselves back into the second test Codemasters have told the world their Ashes Cricket 2009 game will be hitting the shelves on 7th August.
Developed by Transmission Games for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 the new Ashes game will allow you to play through the titular series itself as well as standard test matches, one day internationals and Twenty20 games. Famous historical scenarios will be included to give players the chance to change history and there will be a Hawkeye system on hand for those tough to call moments.
The Wii version (at last, a Wii cricket game!) is being developed separately to the other versions by Gusto Games and features motion control for both batting and bowling as you'd expect. You'll also be able to set the field and best of all polish the ball using the Wiimote.
It's the perfect time to release a cricket game, we'll just keep our fingers crossed that England haven't thrown the series away before it's released.
