Microsoft have registered several patents for a first-person that will utilise camera control.

One can only assume therefore that it will make use of the company's revolutionary Project tech, which was unveiled at this year's E3.

According to some of the details in the patent, the camera will switch between 'ready' and 'explorer' viewpoints to better aid aiming and exploration.

This could well mean that there will be seamless transition between first and third-person views for shooting and navigating the terrain respectively.

There are also references to 'Brute Force' a first-party for the original from 2003. Speculation is also rife that this could be something far more exciting using the license, possibly even the recently announced Halo: Reach.

Time will tell. We'll keep you posted

In the meantime, you can read the patent document in full if you can be bothered.
