Age of Conan expansion due for GamesCom
MMORPG expansion set for August reveal
According to Funcom director of communications Erling Elllingsen a new Age of Conan expansion looks set to be revealed to the world at the upcoming GamesCom event in Germany this August.
Speaking to Eurogamer Elllingsen said fans following the event are "in for a treat". While specifics are still a little thin on the ground and Elllingsen was understandably keeping his cards close to his chest he did confirm that a "dedicated team" has been hard at work on the expansion ever since AoC launched back in May 2008.
This expansion news comes hot on the heels of the more fundamental changes to the MMORPG recently announced by Funcom. These changes are set to include a significant reworking of the RPG mechanics as well as a whole bundle of new content in a new zone.
GamesCom, for those who weren't aware, is the new German consumer videogame event set to take place in Cologne between the 19th and 23rd of August.
