Sony deny that French stores are boycotting PSP Go
Console will still be released, despite rumours
Sony Computer Entertainment Europe have denied rumour that several major French retailers are refusing to stock the PSP Go this autumn.
Out in October, the PSP Go will drop UMD support and move to a digital only business model, something which some retailers have expressed concern about. Others, including UK indies, say they won't stock the handheld simply because they're not anticipating strong demand.
Sony have however moved to deny rumour from JeuxVideo which had predicted that several major retailers were refusing to stock the device over the UMD move, and that this might even see the handheld go unreleased in France as a result.
"No French retailers have refused to stock the Go," VG247 quote Sony as stating. The handheld will land in October costing 249 Euro.
