Survival-horror title Dead Island is still in the works at Call of Juarez creators Techland, despite the zombie-battler being off the radar for some months.

Apparently, the developer have initiated something of a marketing black-out while they await the confirmation of the game's new publisher.

"All we are allowed to say is that the game is in and doing great and that all future updates regarding the game will come directly from the publisher," game maker Blazej Krakowiak told G4TV.

This free-form title boasts an ambitious premise, and should be released for the PC, and - once the publisher is confirmed.

We'll keep our noses to the ground.
