id's Rage will still be published by EA

While Romero sees red over deal...

Despite ZeniMax Media (Bethesda) announcing yesterday the purchase of John Carmack outfit id Software, EA have assured today that they will still publish id's shooter/racer Rage.

Speaking to UK blog VG247, EA assured that their publishing deal for the game remained in place.

"EA's agreement with id Software for Rage remains unchanged," assured EA.

The title was announced last year and is expected to arrive in 2010.

Meanwhile, outspoken ex-id Software man John Romero is clearly less than enamoured by this deal.

"ZENIMAX??????? Disgusting," the designer offered Twitter. "Fallout 3 bought DOOM."
