Rockstar studios aid Max Payne 3 development
Vancouver get a helping hand
Rockstar offer up a brand new fact sheet for Max Payne 3 today, and it looks as if while Rockstar Vancouver are at the helm; they're being ably assisted by other Rockstar studios.
Max is older and more 'world weary' in this release, set in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Payne's been working as a security consultant, we're told, having quit the NYPD, and while he works to protect a wealthy family, things are go more than a bit wrong.
As with past offerings in the series we're promised a focus on story, while Payne will be able to dual-wield weapons and employ Bullet Time - not to mention painkillers - in order to aid his progress.
Payne's monologues will return, and the game is based on Rockstar's RAGE engine, incorporating close-quarters combat, a cover system and 'variable' gameplay.
Gang violence is likely to play a part, given the setting, and we're looking forward to seeing more on this.
