The future of the Football series of American games is bright, despite the 73 year-old pundit finally retiring last spring; that's the word from Sports boss Peter Moore.

EA apparently have no plans to drop the name, in fact, Moore says that Madden may now be more involved as he has more time to devote to his involvement in the best-selling game series.

"Probably gets better [from now on], because now John is home, in the Bay Area, where we're headquartered," told Gamasutra. "And in fact our team is there with him right now. He has a production company in the East Bay and I'm spending more time with him because he's not traveling anymore."

The license is set to continue for some time, while even when Madden eventually passes away, Moore sees the game as a fitting legacy that would not be at odds with the general consensus.
