Dark new game, Eden, coming from Hitman writer
Based on controversial new flick
Morten Iversen, the writer behind the Hitman series, is hard at work on a brand new game called Eden; based on Lars Von Trier's film Antichrist.
This violent new film will star Willem Defoe and sounds more than a bit 'graphic', Iversen's been talking to MTV about the game.
"Von Trier has been extremely fond of video games for ages, and has been an avid player of Alone in the Dark. He's been circulating the idea internally... that making games would be a good idea," the writer offers.
"[The movie] goes against all the conventions of how you make games and what you can do in games. Dead kids, nudity, graphic violence. It will be a very controversial game, and it'll be a game that doesn't really compare with anything else.
"We dont expect Wal-Mart to roll in crates of this and put it on their shelves. Absolutely not available at Wal-Mart."
The game could be released via Xbox Live for Xbox 360, and Steam on the PC, and is billed as "nightmarish version of Myst". Gameplay will apparently be based on a player's phobias.
More on the controversial Eden as we get it.
