The last couple of months' numbers from the may not have wowed - April and May showing a marked decline - but stats-crunchers PriceWaterhouseCoopers are predicting solid growth over the years ahead.

According to the firm, gaming will grow at 5.8 percent a year until 2013; much faster than all other forms of entertainment.

This year, gaming should be worth over 17.2 billion USD in North America, with this figure set to hit 21.6 billion USD by 2013.

Music is expected to decline 4.4 percent over the same period (hitting 7.2 billion USD in 2013), with reaching 45.1 billion USD by this same point. More soon.
