The new Go handheld (out this winter, 249 Euro/USD) will apparently support some games that will be playable when the device is 'closed', the revised PSP sporting a sliding front design.

Only the L and R shoulder buttons are accessible when the handheld is closed, but a representative has told Joystiq that some games will still be available in this state. There is also ongoing conjecture about a touch-screen interface.

"Users will be able to access content and applications on the XMB such as videos, and Skype when the panel is closed - but users will need to launch the application first before closing the panel," offered a Sony spokesperson.

All the latest on the as we get it.
