Verizon to launch on-demand games service

US telephone giant Verizon have begun testing their own games on-demand service in the United States, select titles currently being offered to fibre optic internet users in Massachusetts, New York and Rhode Island.

If the trial proves a success, the scheme could be rolled out across the US, with services starting from 4.99 USD per month, and going up to 14.99 USD per month.

1,400 games are presently covered by 'Verizon Games on Demand', with titles from Microsoft, PopCap, Take-Two, Ubisoft, Konami and others on offer.

More games-on-demand news as we get it, meanwhile, those living in the right areas can learn more via the official website.
