While 4 looked rather smashing, not everyone agreed that Konami's opus was as pretty as it might have been, revealing that Metal Gear Solid: Rising will be built using a reworked game engine.

The engine that runs the title will apparently be rebuilt from scratch, reveals assistant producer Sean Eyestone, telling a Kojima podcast that Rising is "a big project like Metal Gear Solid 4," and that the "team is serious about making it look as good as possible on every platform."

We'll bring you more on the titillating Rising as and Kojima further fill us in; the game is being crafted for the PC, and 360.

Meanwhile, Kojima's team are also working on Peace Walker for the handheld.
