Following public outcry surrounding the content of Atomic's Six Days in Fallujah game, publisher dropped their support of the title like a stone - leaving the developer scrambling to find a new backer.

While Konami ran away in April, interest in the game remains strong - with Atomic in talks with other interested parties - boss Peter Tamte admitting that his team should have played closer attention to the concerns of veterans in order to head-off the game's controversial impact.

"We have a lot of people who are interested in the project... But I'll feel better when we sign something and the checks start coming," Tamte admitted.

The game is billed as a realistic and gritty look at this key Iraq war battle, and it raised shackles when it was first announced earlier this year.
