Crackdown 2 offers epic multiplayer support
Microsoft unveil focus for Ruffian sequel
Crackdown 2 will be something of an epic multiplayer experience, when it releases in 2010.
The game will offer support for four players in co-op mode, and competitive multiplayer for 16 players.
The 'ultimate' multiplayer experience is billed by publisher Microsoft, who have charged Scottish devs Ruffian with the creation of this long-awaited sequel.
"Crackdown 2 takes multiplayer gaming to unprecedented levels for the ultimate co-op and competitive multiplayer experience, providing you and your friends with the complete freedom to explore, destroy, and play your way as you restore justice and peace to Pacific City - by any means necessary," reads the official blurb.
Full singleplayer action will join the multiplayer fray, although this will be one for co-op fiends in the main, it would seem.
