One of Sony's big announcements of last week's E3 bash was news that are launching a brand new IP exclusively on the PS3, 'Agent' heading to the format from North (of fame).

Speaking in the wake of the announcement, boss Ben Feder drew comparisons with GTA's early days on the PS2, by way of justification for the exclusive - no doubt riling 360 players.

"The trade-offs a publisher will typically make is, if you're platform-agnostic, you get a larger installed base. You're platform exclusive when you get the right kind of support from first parties."

Feder naturally expects to offer a lot of help getting Agent off the ground, then. "It can give you the kind of platform that you need to start exclusive, start in the right kind of way with the right kind of partner. Exclusivity does work."
