Speaking at an evening discussion session, game design guru has said that he wanted to announce a new game for the at E3.

Miyamoto and his team at Nintendo HQ in Kyoto are in the midst of trying to define a path forward for Zelda, so rather than revealing a new title now, they have instead opted to continue behind closed doors.

Miyamoto did however show off a new piece of art from the game, a rather moody looking Link image, incorporating an ethereal phantom image; all hand sketched.

The big cheese did let slip, however, that the game will be released in 2010, and that it may require MotionPlus. Indeed, Miyamoto said that for a hint of Zelda's future direction, players should look at the swordplay and archery in Wii Sports Resort.
