Kazunori Yamauchi has taken to the stage at Sony's E3 briefing to show of on the new handheld. The new will run at 60 frames-per-second, and promises to be a full Gran Turismo experience.

The game will include 800 cars and 35 tracks. Several singleplayer modes will be included, and Yamauchi is keen to affirm that this is a full release - not a cut-down version.

PSP specific features, such as a Ad-Hoc support is included, to boot, and will also allow the trading of cars between players.It will be difficult to gather all the cars, so sharing cars will be important, the big cheese tells us.

Video footage shows off the game's incredibly detailed visuals, and Gran Turismo PSP looks a game that could do wonders for the handheld.

The game will be released on 1st October.
