Splinter Cell: Conviction is back on the table, confirming that Montreal's creation will be an exclusive.

A new conspiracy plotline is on the agenda; a personal-political drama set in Washington DC, in part.

A bolder and more dramatic look is on the cards, in line with this new Fisher tale, which will up the ante in terms of gameplay, while adding elements like interrogation - which will be needed to further the plot.

No date has been offered, although a release in late 2009 looks likely, Ubisoft having taken the title back to the drawing board last year - prompting speculation it had been canned entirely.
