Despite everyone assuming that the PS2's installed user-base must reach saturation at some point, remained strong in the week just passed with the out-selling the by 3 to 1, which in turn outsold the third-placed by 2.5 to 1. This after Cube sales dropped 15% meant that the market leading PS2 was outselling it by an embarrassing margin of 7.5 to 1.

Nintendo however went on the counter-offensive today after the launch of these sales figures from Chart-Track, claiming the number-two spot in Europe, and a market share of 25%. This may however be something would contest.

Finally, as we enter then next fortnight, it is expected that the GameCube will once again rise, possibly to the number one spot, thanks to the eagerly awaited Cube and Kart £99 bundle. Significant times ahead, then.
